The sports competition returns in Spain, after the declaration of the state of alarm due to the coronavirus with the horse races at the San Sebastián racecourse, with a program of five tests valid also for the national bets Quintuple Plus and Lototurf, from State Lotteries and Bets. And the turf kicks off strongly on this day, which includes the preparatory tests for the Poules de Potros, the first great duels for the three-year-old horses that in theory will take place in Madrid on Sunday, June 21.

A total of 57 thoroughbreds appear in this first list of participants although "Tacio" in the fourth race and "Einar" in the closing race have already been withdrawn due to physical problems. A day that should start at 11.40 am and in a racecourse without an audience and with sanitary measures to avoid contacts between the different protagonists (jockeys, trainers, stewards, waiters …).
Unbeaten “Linda” and double winner “Rosy Moon” stand out in the first race, the preparatory for the best three-year-old fillies. They have never competed in San Sebastián and it is proven to take advantage of "Pravia", which won the National Criterium on the track.
The second and third races are reserved for non-winners, with the promising "Somahoz" and "Trovatore" and the proven "Navia" as main references.
In Lototurf, the fourth of the day, the Poule de Potros high school for males, the forecast is divided between “Salar Island”, the best in the Great Autumn Criterium in his debut in Spain (triple winner in Francia), and “Royal Dancer”, already winner in Lasarte and with repeated outstanding performances.
"Furious" will have a lot of play in the fifth race, a handicap for old elements. It could finish off a meeting that promises to be very profitable for coach Guillermo Arizkorreta and Czech jockey Václav Janácek, who will have previously coincided with “Pravia”, “Trovatore”, “Navia” and “Salar Island”, all with very outstanding options.
The San Sebastián racecourse will host its next summer days on Sunday 7 and Wednesday 10 pending the confirmation of the reopening of the Madrid compound for the 14th, if the health authorities they allow it.
