The Toronto Raptors of Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaca added the first victory in the resumption of the NBA to clearly beat the Los Angeles Lakers 105-92. Led by guard Kyle Lowry, and a great quarterfinal, the Raptors drew their gallons of reigning champions and showed that they need to be considered for the ring for another year.
The Spaniards Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka were not one of the best of the Raptors this time, although the Catalan center contributed eight points and seven rebounds in his 25 minutes on the track. The Hispano-Congolese was less productive than usual and stayed at four points and four rebounds.
His best offensive versions were not necessary thanks to the great game of Kyle Lowry and OG Anunoby. The base signed a great 'double-double' with 33 points and 14 rebounds in addition to six assists, while the forward assisted with 23 and an almost complete effectiveness in shooting (8/9).
The Lakers, who had won their first game in the Walt Diseny Resort's 'bubble' to the Clippers, were handcuffed by their rival, who especially controlled their two stars leaving LeBron James at 20 points but with 7/15, and Anthony Davis at 14.
Without his contribution and with the battle of the rebound lost (51 to 40), the Angelina franchise held out until the last quarter (72-70), but in the last twelve minutes the Raptors pressed in defense to allow only 22 points and take the game and his eleventh victory in a row against the Lakers thanks to a 10-0 run with a 93 draw on the scoreboard.
