The Swiss tennis player Roger Federer will miss the remainder of the 2020 season after having undergone a second arthroscopy on his right knee, which it was already operated in February.

Federer, who was injured at the Australian Open, had not played since then, and now announces that he is going to "take the time necessary to be 100% ready" and hopes to be able to be at the start of the 2021 season .

With a message on his social networks, the one from Basel revealed that he decided to go back to the operating room "after experiencing a setback in my initial rehabilitation".

"I will greatly miss the fans and the tour, but I hope to see everyone back on tour at the beginning of the 2021 season," ended the 38-year-old tennis player.
