Nicolás De La Cruz and Julián Álvarez represent a priority on the agenda of the River leadership thinking about the future in the medium term . It is that both have the expiration of their contracts on June 30, 2021 .
While River has 30% of the Uruguayan's economic rights, it has 85% of the Cordovan forward . The remaining parts correspond to their home clubs: Liverpool (Montevideo) and Deportivo Atalaya (Córdoba).
Although the negotiations have only just begun, the leadership's desire is that the offensive midfielder and the attacker renew their ties for two more seasons . However, there may be an exception with De La Cruz and that the new agreement is for 12 months instead of 24.
What are its clauses ? For the Charrúa it is US $ 20,000,000, while Álvarez is at € 15,000,000 . Neither would rise, considering that the pass market will radically change its economy after the pandemic.
In addition to Álvarez and De La Cruz, there are four other players who were important in terms of contract renewal: Rafael Borré, Lucas Martínez Quarta, Gonzalo Montiel and Santiago Sosa, whose ties also end in the middle of next year .
