Bundesliga The modest German team plays against Leverkusen in the Cup
E l Saarbrücken, a modest team from the German Third Division, has asked the German Federation (DFB) to play with public in his semifinal (single game) next Tuesday against Bayer Leverkusen. The club argues that in its 'landen' (German state) sanitary conditions are appropriate so that at least part of the stadium is populated.
The petition, similar to the one that the UD has made, Las Palmas in Spain, it is supported by some of the leading politicians in the Sarre region . "Hygiene could be verified much better in a podium than in other situations," said Oliver Luksic, member of parliament.
Speaking to German soccer authorities, MARCA has been able to verify that the petition has few signs of prospering. "Playing in a stadium with the public requires an entire hygienic protocol, which we don't have right now," they do not say. The Cup is the jurisdiction of the DFB (German Federation) and not of the Bundesliga. The Federation meets this Monday but the Saarbrücken's request will most likely not be authorized, since it should also be authorized by all local authorities.
The Bundesliga will try to return to normal at the beginning of the next season although nobody assures that this will take place before 2021.
In the other semifinal (also in a single match) it will be played on Wednesday between Bayern and Eintracht. The winners will play the final on July 4 at the Olympiastadion in Berlin.
