Finally Marcelo Barovero will have the first European experience of his career since in the last hours the multi-champion goalkeeper with River signed his contract to be part of the Burgos of Spain. "Marcelo has already signed a contract, and we are very happy to have a professional like him in our club" said Antonio Caselli in Halcones y Palomas, who is a former River manager, majority shareholder of Burgos, and also the Franco's father, current president of the Iberian institution.
Trapito will arrive for the first time at the old continent, and Burgos will be the seventh club of his career. The 36-year-old goalkeeper played 14 seasons in Argentine soccer and then had a 4-year stint in the Mexican league, where he shone in Necaxa and Monterrey. In River he cut 168 official matches and got 6 titles with the Marcalo Gallardo and Ramón Díaz teams.
